Bobbie’s Decade of Excellence at Community Bank

We are proud to highlight Bobbie Rodriguez as she celebrates a decade of phenomenal work and being an exceptional colleague at Community Bank. Learn more about Bobbie and her experience with Community Bank:

1. What is something you’re most proud of?

I am proud to be a back-up to the Teller Supervisor. I started as a part-time teller and became a full-time teller within two years. I learned all the teller jobs and how to open accounts. My many years of experience as a Teller have been helpful in the last three years because I am able to help the Teller Supervisor with extra job duties, training, or any other tasks. When she is busy or not at the bank, then the other tellers can come to me for help.

2. What has changed since you started?

There have been a lot of changes in the past 10 years. We have some new people in the bank, our lobby was remodeled about 6 years ago, new positions like a Personal Banker and a Teller Supervisor, and new technology like Mobile Banking and Mobile Deposit.

3. What do you enjoy most about Community Bank?

I enjoy working for Community Bank because I like to work with people. The bank is like a second family to me because we see each other and work together every day. My coworkers are helpful and caring. The customers are friendly and nice. I like to see the customers and I know they like to see us too. It has been great getting to know the customers and their families. Some of the customers will come to me directly because I have known them for many years.

4. Do you remember what your first day with Community Bank was like?

I remember being a little excited about working for another bank. I previously worked for 2 other banks, and it was a dream job of mine. I have an Accounting Degree, and I like to work with people and numbers. With previous banking experience, I also remember learning how to process customer transactions with a new computer program.
